No, volunteers do not need to purchase tickets once accepted as a volunteer.

No, unfortunately all volunteers need to be over 16 years of age.

Yes, only at times when your current role is complete and a staff member says you are free to watch the event. 

You will be allocated a team on the day of event. This will be communicated to you by the Volunteers Manager.

Yes as long as they are clean.

You can wear a hoodie but not a baseball cap. Remember it’s a warm venue, you may end up carrying it. Think of this when choosing your outerwear.

No, Volunteers must respect the speakers by not asking for photos during the event. Please note that they have a very busy schedule.

As much as we want children to feel part of the event, Volunteers cannot bring children and family members that they are responsible for to the event. Families may attend if they have tickets but thy must not impact the volunteer responsibilities. REMEMBER: Volunteers must be 16 years or older, and have registered via the registration form.

No, each event is ticketed. They must have either bought a ticket or be signed up to volunteer.

We cannot provide a charging space for you. Please bring power banks with you as it will be a long day of volunteering. 

No. Only the official or professional recording is allowed to record. Please also note, no backstage filming is allowed.

We cannot guarantee a secure space to leave your belongings. If there is an available room, you will be able to store your belongings. But please note, this room will not be secure. Please keep all valuables on your person.

Webinars will only take place for the bigger events in Ramadan, Summer Conference, and Winter Conference. 

We cannot guarantee parking at the venue. Even if there is parking, this may be paid parking. Please see venue websites for more information, and plan ahead.

Yes, we aim to give small breaks during the day.

No. Once you have been allocated a role for the day, we will need you to stick to it. This is because the staff will take time to train you in that role. Unless there is a need for you to change roles, the teams will stay the same.

If you can no longer volunteer, you must inform the Volunteers Manager asap. If you fail to notify the Volunteers Manager with enough notice, a warning may be placed on your record and you may not be selected to volunteer at future events. Once the event is sold out, that means there are no more tickets are available.

No, the best way to find discount tickets is to purchase at the early bird offer.

When you sign up to volunteer, you are agreeing to support for the full event. Without the volunteers fulfilling their promise, we cannot run the event. If there are travel constraints or unavoidable circumstances, please speak to the Volunteers Manager, who will approve any late arrivals/early finish. Volunteering roles vary based on the event. The webinar and information pack will give in depth information on the Conference Volunteer roles. In general, Volunteer roles include welcoming attendees, supporting with ushering, taking part in the fundraising segment, and assisting in the Iftar food distribution (Ramadan only).
